New Plays: Monroe Correctional

Using the proceeds from merchandise sales we saved up enough money to pay two artists incarcerated at Monroe Correctional Facility stipends to use the plays they wrote for our end of the year for performance for our in-school residency program at Cleveland High School. If you’re interested in learning more about this project please email us at hatlo@earthseedseattle.org

Summer Programming

We received a grant from Seattle’s Office of Arts and Culture to hire student artists to co-write a play alongside our Shaper, Jéhan Òsanyìn in August of 2019 and August of 2020. Some students are compensated for their time via stipends. Other students pay a participation fee. It is important to us at Earthseed to meet folks where they are as they are in as many ways as possible. If you want to know more about participating in our summer offerings email us at hatlo@earthseedseattle.org
